Berea Farmers Market Moves to Summer Hours

BEREA, Ky. — The Berea Farmers Market has officially moved into its summer schedule, giving residents and visitors more time to shop local each Saturday.

The market is now open Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Chestnut Street Pavilion, located at 635 Chestnut St. The expanded summer schedule runs from May through October.

🥕 A Producer-Only Experience

The Berea Farmers Market is a strict producer-only market, which means vendors exclusively sell items they have grown, raised, baked, or made themselves. That makes the market a direct, transparent way to support local farmers, bakers, artists, and makers.

Shoppers can often find a robust mix of local produce, baked goods, prepared foods, plants, handmade items, soaps, jewelry, sewn goods, and other locally crafted products. Offerings may change from week to week depending on the season, vendor availability, and what is currently ready from local farms and kitchens.

Buying from a local market makes everyday shopping feel a little more personal. Whether someone is picking up vegetables for the week, a baked treat, a plant for the porch, or a handmade gift, the purchase comes with a genuine connection to the person who made or grew it.

🧺 More Than Just a Market

For many families, the market is much more than a place to shop. It is a Saturday morning gathering spot where neighbors can catch up, visitors can get a feel for Berea, and local vendors can connect directly with the people buying their products.

The move into summer hours comes at a perfect time for those who enjoy making the market part of their weekend routine. Warmer weather brings more reasons to spend time outside, and the Chestnut Street Pavilion—located directly across from Just Love Coffee—gives the market a highly central location close to other local stops.

The Berea Farmers Market operates year-round, with these extended Saturday hours remaining in place during the warmer months. Visitors are encouraged to check the market’s website for vendor updates, seasonal information, and any weather-related changes before heading out.
