Eight Kentucky Schools Receive Transportation Grants Through Kentucky State Parks Foundation

Students from eight more Kentucky schools are taking field trips to a Kentucky State Park thanks to a transportation grant from the Kentucky State Parks Foundation.

The KSPF’s “Inside Out Education” initiative allows schools to seek the grants that enable students to learn about the environment, history or culture at a Kentucky State Park.

“These trips provide excellent learning opportunities for these students,” Parks Commissioner Donnie Holland said. “They also bring young people to our state parks so they can experience our history and natural environment.”

Traffic Alert

Due to construction on US25 and traffic concerns, and in collaboration with Foley Middle School and the Berea Police Department, we have decided upon a new dismissal routine for the next few weeks from the MSHS front parking lot and the light at Rash Road to alleviate some traffic for US25 and busses coming from Shannon Johnson. Upon leaving campus, all vehicles will be directed to turn right onto Glades Road from the front parking lot and MSHS car rider line. All vehicles leaving campus from the Foley car rider line and the light at Rash Rd will also be directed to turn right or proceed straight onto Rash Rd. There will be no left turns at either of these exits.
