Detectives from Post 11, London received a complaint in reference to an individual who attempted to solicit a minor to engage in sexual intercourse in Laurel County.

Through an investigation, Detective Justin Oliver learned that Boyd Wagers, 40, of London, had used his cell phone to commit this crime.

Drug Arrests: On 01/27/2015, police charged Duran A. Estill, age 48, Belmont Drive, and Christopher R. Dean, age 39, Turpin Drive, for drug offenses following an investigation at a local motel.

At approximately 9:11 P.M., Bike Patrol officers investigating reports of drug trafficking from a local motel room made contact with Estill and Dean at the room. A subsequent search of the room produced small quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana along with drug paraphernalia commonly utilized in the trafficking of controlled substances, such as packaging materials and scales. Drug use paraphernalia was also found throughout the room, which was rented by Estill. The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted by Estill County Dispatch just after 10:30 pm last night, in reference to a male that had been shot on Sugar Hollow Road in Estill County.

The initial investigation indicates that Millard E. Dixon, 47 years old of Irvine, was fatally shot during an altercation with his elderly father. The shooting occurred inside his father’s residence at 115 Sugar Hollow Road in Irvine, just before 10:30 pm last night, Tuesday, January 27th. Following the shooting, Dixon was transported to Marcum and Wallace hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The Brodhead Fire Department cleared the scene of an early morning trailer fire on Fuzzy Duck Rd. No one lived in the residence at the time of the fire. Brodhead fire responded with Engine 11, Tanker 14, Tanker 15 and Rescue 13 with 7 firefighters. BFD was assisted at the scene by Mount Vernon Fire Department. No injuries occurred and all units returned to service.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating an accident, which happened on January 1, 2015 at approximately 1:20 a.m.

According to Sheriff Mike Coyle, the sheriff’s office obtained a warrant on Caleb Michael Aldridge, age, 26 who lives at 200 Rano Court, Richmond, Kentucky.

DUI/Drug Arrest: On 01/22/2015 Officers were advised of a reckless driver on Paint Lick Road. They located the vehicle on Jefferson Street and observed that it was weaving in the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted after the vehicle drifted into the opposing lane and nearly ran on to the sidewalk. The driver of the vehicle had slurred speech and seemed disoriented.

Officers determined that the driver was under the influence and they arrested 62 year old Betty Speaks of Stanford KY. She was charged with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense as well as other traffic offenses. Assault/Tampering Charges: On 01/23/2015, police charged Jonathan C. Shearer, age 23, Lexington, for numerous offenses following a traffic stop.

At approximately 9:32 A.M., officers were alerted to a possible drunk driver by a deputy jailer at the MCDC. Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Kim Kent Drive and identified the driver as Shearer. Upon making contact with Shearer, officers suspected that he was intoxicated and directed him to exit the vehicle. UPDATE: This morning an autopsy was performed at the State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort, Ky. As a result of the autopsy, it was determined that the victim died as a result of a gunshot wound. The deceased victim has been identified as Ellen C. Townsend, 29 years old of Irvine.

The ongoing investigation indicates Townsend was last seen in a silver Chrysler sedan with Ricky W. Conrad, 44 years old of Irvine.

This morning at approximately 10:30 am, Lexington Police Department located Ricky Conrad in a silver Chrysler sedan. Conrad was found deceased inside the vehicle, which was parked in the St. Joseph Hospital parking lot on N. Eagle Creek Drive in Lexington. The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted by the Estill County Sheriff’s Office just after 10:30 am this morning, in reference to a female that had been found deceased on Noland Creek Road in rural Estill County.

Personnel from the KSP Richmond Post responded to the scene and found the female victim laying on the side of the roadway with an apparent gunshot wound. The unidentified female was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Estill County Coroner.
