BEREA, Ky. — Sustainable Berea will host its Spring Gathering on Saturday, May 23, bringing supporters together for dinner, auctions, and recognition of local sustainability efforts.
The event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Churchill’s, located at 100 Churchill Dr. in Berea. The gathering supports Sustainable Berea’s community programs, including the Berea Urban Farm and Victory Garden Blitz, a program that has provided raised garden beds to the community for 12 years.
🍽️ Dinner, Auctions, and Awards
The Spring Gathering includes dinner with each ticket, along with silent and live auctions and raffles. The evening also features the presentation of the Community Sustainability Award winners.
For Sustainable Berea, the evening serves as both a primary fundraiser and a networking opportunity for those interested in gardening, local food systems, conservation, and neighborhood-level sustainability projects.
🌱 Supporting Local Growing Programs
Sustainable Berea’s initiatives focus on helping residents grow their own food and develop practical self-sufficiency skills. The Berea Urban Farm acts as a visible community hub for these projects, while the Victory Garden Blitz focuses on the physical installation of garden infrastructure for residents.
The Spring Gathering allows the community to contribute to these ongoing programs while connecting with others interested in local agriculture and environmental stewardship.
