Richmond Police Report 9/13/2019

Operation Broken Cart 2: On September 10, 11, & 12, 2019, the Richmond Police Department conducted a joint operation with local retail loss prevention officers in Richmond, KY to target and identify individuals involved in retail theft.

It was our mission to make an impact in our community by showing zero tolerance to shoplifting and other crimes that derive from theft.

Together we identified 39 individuals committing theft and other criminal offenses. Officers were able to recover of approximately $2,069 worth of stolen merchandise.

Over the course of the operation, the Richmond Police Department worked closely with loss prevention personnel and members of the Kentucky Organized Retail Crime Association to achieve exceptional results.

We will continue working with the Kentucky Organized Retail Crime Association to conduct targeted campaigns against retail theft.
