We enjoyed his responses to our questions. We hope you do too!
1. What is your cycling experience level?
I am a very beginner rider. This will be my first century ride. I’ve ridden before for fitness but never this far. I hear it’s just like riding a bike though….
2. Why are you riding in KBR19?
I had a friend invite me and I really thought about it and everything fell into place so easily. It felt like a sign that I just needed to do this. I guess I’ll find out the real reason on the ride.
3. What are you most excited about?
Meeting all of the people on the ride and seeing the sights along the ride. I feel like I will learn a lot along the way and I love learning.
4. What are you most nervous about?
I don’t want to hold the group back so I hope my training kicks in and I am able to keep up with the pack. I also hope the weather cooperates and we have a great ride!
5. How have you been training to prepare for The Ride?
Right now I’m riding a lot and have upped my gym exercise. I’m pushing my limits a little further everyday.
6. What do you hope others see when KBR comes through their town?
I want everyone to see the real reason we are doing this ride. The men and women who have fallen doing their job and serving their community.
7. Anything else you’d like to add?
I think this is a great cause and I’m very excited to be a part of it. I hope we are able to bring honor to those who have fallen as well as the families and friends who have lost a loved one. I hope we all have a great ride and I look forward to meeting everyone and seeing the cities we ride through.
The Kentucky Brotherhood Ride is a ride that honors the families of fallen first responders in Kentucky. The riders will be meeting with some of those families along the way.
