BEREA POLICE REPORT JULY 16, 2019

ARRESTED

Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument:  On 07/12/2019 officers located a subject at Circle K on Chestnut Street that was involved in an active investigation. 

She had forged stolen checks and cashed them at several businesses in town. 

Officers arrested 31 Jessica Maurice of Mount Vernon KY and charged her with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. 

Also charged in this case was 44 year old Johnny Meadows of Berea KY, who was already incarcerated. 

ARRESTED

Shoplifting Arrests:  On 07/14/2019 officers were called to Walmart in reference to two shoplifters. 

Store employees observed the subjects attempt to leave the store with merchandise that they did not pay for. 

Officers arrested 28 year old Jerri Gadd of Berea KY and 48 year old Linda Gadd of Berea KY.  They were both charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting. 

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest:  On 07/13/2019 officers were called to Circle K in reference to a subject who appeared to be passing out inside of the business.  The subject was located, and he was placed under arrest after showing several signs of impairment.  A small plastic bag containing suspected heroin was located in his pants pocket.

Officers arrested 52 year old Jackie Couch of Berea KY and charged him with Public Intoxication and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree. 

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 07/15/2019 an officer observed a vehicle that had been parked at the car wash on Glades Road for several hours.  The occupant of the vehicle showed several signs of impairment and attempted to stick something in his pocket as he was speaking to the officer.  A small metal container with suspected heroin was located along with Suboxone. 

Officers arrested 49 year old Steven Stamper of Berea KY and charged him with the following: Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Heroin) Drug Paraphernalia Possession Public Intoxication Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest:  On 07/15/2019 officers were called to the area of Highway 1016 in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.  The vehicle was located in the parking lot of Redi Mart of Glades Road and the driver was still inside.  The driver showed several signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. 

Officers charged 59 year old Tammy Slone of Berea KY and charged her with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
