Loretta Lackey Gulley, 83, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at her home. She was born in Garrard County, Kentucky on Friday, July 12, 1935 the daughter of the late Beecham and Cordie Ward Lackey.
She was a retired dietician with Madison County Schools having worked at Clark Moores Middle School for many years. She was a member of the Poosey Methodist Church and in later years really enjoyed going to Better Burger Restaurant and visiting with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Gulley; a son, Ronnie Gulley; two daughters, Cordie Marie Wilson and Lisa Wren; a brother, Garnett Lackey.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy D. Gulley and Clifford L. Gulley, both of Richmond; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Henry May officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Wilson, Steve Wilson, Blake Lear, Johnny Davis, Mondel Davis and Doug Davis.
Mr. John David Rollins, 63, of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday evening, June 12, 2019 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center. He was born on September 8, 1955 in Madison County to the late George Jr., and Alberta Agee Rollins.
John worked for the Madison Flower Shop and recently retired as a truck driver for the City of Richmond – Public Works Department. He was a hard worker both on the job and at home and will be remembered for his love of fishing and making people laugh. John was a member of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include: his wife of 18 years, Beverly “Jeanie” Tipton Rollins; two sons, John Jamison Rollins (Renee) and David Scott Rollins (Sarah); 2 brothers, James Lee “Moe” Rollins (Megan) and Darryl Wayne Rollins (Candy); as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Robert “Block” Isaacs, Glenn Terry, Kenny Foster, James Hill, Vernon Sowers, Jack Sowers and John Strong.
Mrs. Evelyn Carrier Phelps, 98, the widow of Mr. Lex Phelps, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at the Morning Point Assisted Living Facility. She was born on September 11, 1920 to the late Jarvis and Lillie Settles Carrier in Madison County.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Madison Hills Christian Church.
Survivors include: one sister, Shirley Mattingly (Joe), of Lexington; some very special nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law Sibby Kirby and a number of wonderful neighbors of many years.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Frazer officiating. Private family burial will be conducted at the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Friday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Harold Lee Harris, age 67, of Brodhead, KY, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2019 at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. Harold was born on October 13, 1951, in Stanford, KY, a son of the late James David “Chalk-eye” Harris, and the late Destie Messer Harris.
He was united to marriage to his wife Carol Ann Caldwell on May 20, 1972. He attended Crab Orchard Church of Christ, and enjoyed riding motorcycles, operating Ham Radio, and collecting coins.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 47 years: Carol Ann Caldwell Harris of Brodhead, KY; his children: Dana McKinney and Andy, and J.C. Harris and Bonnie, all of Brodhead, KY; his grandchildren: Shelby, Bailey, and Jaimey Harris, and Mackenzie and Hunter Elam; and a very special mother-in-law Fern Caldwell; as well as a host of many friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Leman Douglas Harris; and a father-in-law: Carl Caldwell.
Services for Mr. Harris will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals beginning with the visitation on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 6-9pm. Funeral will be Sunday, June 16, 2019, at 2pm with Robbie Cable and Gary Parker officiating. Burial will follow at the Providence Cemetery.
Casket Bearers will be David and Kenny Burton, Gary Lee Caldwell, Jared Sanford, and Troy and Johnny Harris.

Wavlene Dunaway, age 82, of Wall Street in Irvine passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the Compassionate Care Center following a short illness. She was born October 4, 1936 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Elva and Mary Clark Wise.
She was a member of the River Drive Christian Church and retired as secretary for the Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.

Kent Hall, Ryan Hall, Cody Hall, Christina Webb, Natalie Dunaway, Joseph Dunaway, Travis Dunaway, Eric Dunaway and Russell Dunaway 7 Great Grandchildren: Avae Hall, Cora Hall, Ellena Dunaway, Elijah Webb, Trace Webb, Colton Webb and Maizy Dunaway
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Jeff Dunaway, 3 sisters; Opal C. Critchfield, Chrystal Ashcraft, Allene Wise and 2 brothers; Wilbert E. Wise and Jim Wise.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, June 13, 5:30 PM at the River Drive Christian Church by Bro. Paul Groves. Friends may call between 3:30 and 5:30 PM Thursday at the River Drive Christian Church.
