KSP Investigates Escaped Inmate in Lee Co.

The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is looking for an inmate that escaped from a corrections transport van in Lee County earlier today.

The initial investigation alleges that Jamie D Vires, 39 years old of Jackson, KY, escaped from a corrections transport van at approximately 12:55 pm today on KY HWY-11 South. 

He is described as being 6’1” tall, weighing 190 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.  Jamie Vires was in jail serving a sentence for Receiving Stolen Property, Burglary 1st Degree, Theft By Unlawful Taking, Assault 2nd Degree, Promoting Contraband 1st Degree, and Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st Degree.  

Anyone with any information about his location is asked to call their local law enforcement or KSP Post 7 at 859-623-2404.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Charles Bowling.
