DUI Arrest: On 05/23/2019 officers were called to BP on Paint Lick Road in reference to subjects passed out in a vehicle. The driver and the passenger both showed several signs of impairment and were both placed under arrest.
Officers charged 26 year old Jessica Henderson of Berea KY with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense, and 26 year old Courtney Shaw of Richmond KY with Public Intoxication.
Theft/Drug Arrest: On 05/22/2019 investigators arrested 32 year old Heather Phillips of Berea KY. Phillips was a manager at the Family Dollar and was working when over $800 went missing from the store. After an investigation concerning the theft, Phillips was placed under arrest.
As she was being transported to the Berea Police Department she concealed something inside of her shoe. Approximately 2.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located when she was searched.
Phillips was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking $500 or More, Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Alcohol Intoxication: On 05/27/2019 officers were called to a disturbance on Rainbow Court. One of the parties involved was located on a neighbor’s back porch and showed several signs of intoxication.
Officers arrested 35 year old Christopher Mullins of Richmond KY and charged him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
Assault Arrest: On 05/27/2019 the Berea Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the 100 block of Chestnut Street. While they were on scene a subject approached them and pushed one of the firefighters from behind. He then pushed a second firefighter and lunged at him. The subject had to be physically restrained by all the firefighters on scene until officers arrived. The subject seemed confused and showed several signs of impairment.
Officers arrested 37 year old Grant Graham of Berea KY and charged him with Public Intoxication and Assault 3rd Degree (Fire, EMS, Rescue).
Trafficking Arrest: On 05/25/2019 officers spotted suspicious activity in the parking lot of Midway gas station after the business was closed. Two vehicles were parked next to each other, and as the officers drove by they saw what appeared to be a hand to hand transaction. After turning around and going back to the business they were able to get out with only one of the vehicles. They made contact with the driver of the vehicle and observed a bag of marijuana sitting in plain view in the car. As the subject was being placed under arrest, he began to resist and attempted to flee. Located inside of the vehicle was 19 grams of marijuana, 14 Oxycodone tablets, and $1,170 in cash.
Officers arrested 59 year old James Gaunce of Berea KY and charged him with Resisting Arrest, Trafficking in Marijuana, and Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree.
Public Intoxication: On 05/25/2019 officers were called to BP on Paint Lick Road in reference to a subject passed out in a vehicle. The subject showed several signs of impairment and was placed under arrest.
Officers charged 27 year old Jonathan Shearer of Berea KY with Public Intoxication.
Hindering Apprehension: On 05/25/2019 officers went to a residence on Burchwood Drive to serve an arrest warrant. They spoke with the owner of the residence who stated that the wanted person was not there. While speaking to the homeowner, one of the officers could see through a widow and spotted the wanted subject inside of the home.
Officers arrested 35 year old Sean Bennett of Berea KY and charged him with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree.
Burglary Arrest: On 05/25/2019 officers were called to Walmart in reference to a subject who was caught shoplifting. She had previously been banned from the property for similar charges.
Officers arrested 48 year old Brenda Alexander of Berea KY and charged her with Burglary 3rd Degree.
Tampering with Evidence: On 05/23/2019 officers arrested 52 year old Connie Cope of Berea KY on Liberty Avenue for an outstanding arrest warrant.
She was placed in the back of a police cruiser and stated to officers that she had swallowed some methamphetamine. She also had a syringe concealed in her clothing.
She was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.
Criminal Trespass: On 05/23/2019 officers were called to a residence on Chestnut Street in reference to a subject attempting to enter the home through a window. The subject had used a ladder and was located on the roof of the home.
Officers arrested 22 year old John Durham of Williamsburg KY and charged him with Criminal Trespassing 1st Degree.
Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument: On 05/23/2019 officers were called to Walgreens in reference to counterfeit money that was used at the business. Store employees stated that a subject purchased several items with the counterfeit money and was given change. He was located on foot a short distance away and gave officers false information about his identity.
Officers arrested 41 year old Michelangelo Alfieri of Buffalo NY and charged him with Giving an Officer False Identifying Information and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree.
Possession of a Defaced Firearm: On 05/23/2019 officers were called to a possible fight on Glades Road. One of the subjects involved was located on foot in the area. The subject had a small amount of marijuana and a loaded handgun in his pocket. The serial number on the handgun appeared to have been filed off.
Officers arrested 19 year old Tristen Bujanos of Berea KY and charged him with Possession of Marijuana, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Defaced Firearm.
Alcohol Intoxication: On 05/23/2019 officers were called to Saint Joseph Berea in reference to a subject who was being disorderly. The subject was located near the ER entrance and showed several signs of intoxication.
Officers arrested 52 year old Andre Morrison of Berea KY and charged him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
Public Intoxication: On 05/22/2019 a subject called 911 to report a medical emergency at his home on Glades Road. Responding officers did not locate the caller or anyone else with a medical emergency at the residence. The caller was eventually located at McDonald’s on Glades Road and had an outstanding arrest warrant. The subject also showed several signs of impairment and had a needle in his pants pocket.
Officers arrested 44 year old Glenn Partin of Berea KY and charged him with Public Intoxication and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.
Giving False Identifying Information: On 05/20/2019 officers were conducting an investigation at a residence on Spring Circle Drive. They made contact with a subject at the home who gave them a name, and they eventually learned that the name he had given was false.
Officers arrested 21 year old Chad Brown of Berea KY and charged him with Giving an Officer False Identifying Information.
