Mayor proclaims Berea Community High School Lady Pirates Basketball Team Day

Tuesday was officially Berea Community High School Lady Pirates Basketball Team Daafter Berea Mayor Bruce Fraley honored the team, winners of the 11th Region “All A” Basketball Tournament. The mayor presented a proclamation to Coach Dammian Stepp in recognition of the team’s remarkable season. The proclamation read:

The Berea Community High School “Lady Pirates” Basketball Team

WHEREAS, the Berea Community High School “Lady Pirates” won the 11th Region “All A” Basketball Tournament on Janurary 18, 2019, and

WHEREAS, the Lady Pirates advanced to the quarterfinal round of the “All A” State Tournament, and

WHEREAS, under the leadership of Head Coach
Dammian Stepp, and assistant coaches Greg Gosney, Matthew Miller, Jamie Beard and Rebecca Combs, they compiled a record of 22 wins and 9 losses for the 2018-2019 season.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Bruce Fraley, Mayor of the City of Berea, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, March 5, 2019 to be declared “Berea Community High School Lady Pirates Basketball Team Day,” and on this day I urge the citizens of Berea to honor and bestow their best wishes on this team.
