Berea Police Report Mar. 5, 2019

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 03/03/2019 an officer stopped a subject who was walking on the railroad tracks near Lester Street. The subject had an active arrest warrant and was placed under arrest. He was in possession of a cigarette pouch that contained a small amount of suspected Methamphetamine.

Officers charged 44 year old Steve Keith of Berea KY with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree.

ARRESTED

EPO/DVO Violation: On 03/02/2019 officers were called to a residence on Glades Road in reference to a dispute between family members. There was an active protection order in place, and one of the subjects was placed under arrest. The subject began yelling, cursing, and threatening other people in the area.

Officers charged 38 year old William Croucher of Berea KY with the following:

-Violation of a KY EPO/DVO
-Disorderly Conduct
-Menacing
-Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree

ARRESTED

Giving an Officer False Information: On 02/28/2019 a traffic stop was conducted on Prospect Street for a minor traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle did not have a license and gave the officer a name that turned out to be false. It was discovered that the subject did not have a driver’s license.

Officers arrested 35 year old Jamie Sturgill of Berea KY and charged him with Giving an Officer False Identifying Information, Operating on a Suspended License, and several other traffic violations.

ARRESTED

Theft Arrest: On 02/27/2019 officers were called to Berea Drug in reference to the theft of medication. Store employees stated that a customer picked up some medication and it was stolen from him after he checked out. The theft was captured on video and the offender was located at a residence on Scaffold Cane Road. The stolen medication was recovered, and it was found that the offender also shoplifted items from Berea Drug.

Officers arrested 35 year old Krista Phillips of Berea KY and charged her with Theft By Unlawful Taking, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 02/26/2019 a traffic stop was conducted on Cooper Drive for an expired registration plate. The driver had a strong odor of alcohol and stated that he had been drinking.

Officers arrested 37 year old Joshua Parker of Waco KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and several other traffic offenses.
