Berea Police Report Mar. 12, 2019

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 03/08/2019 a traffic stop was conducted on Chestnut Street for an expired registration plate. After speaking with the driver, $182.00 cash and approximately 4 grams of suspected Methamphetamine were located in his pockets.

Officers arrested 67 year old Stephen Daffron of Berea KY and charged him with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) along with several traffic offenses.

ARRESTED

Burglary Arrest: On 03/09/2019 officers were called to a Berea College Facilities building in reference to a suspicious person who was seen carrying tools in the area. A male subject was found hiding in one of the buildings, and it was discovered that he had carried several tool boxes out of the building and placed them on the hood of a truck. The subject claimed that he had permission to be in the building that was fenced in, but college staff confirmed that he was not authorized to be there.

Officers arrested 36 year old Gary Davidson of Louisville KY and charged him with Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, and Theft By Unlawful Taking Under $500.

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 03/10/2019 officers were called to a single vehicle collision on Woodford Ave. The driver of the vehicle almost fell as he got out of the car and showed several other signs of intoxication.

Officers arrested 58 year old Max Meadows of Richmond KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.

ARRESTED

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle: On 03/10/2019 the victim reported that she let someone borrow her vehicle and they were supposed to bring it back the same day. Several days went by and the vehicle was not returned to the owner.

Officers located 34 year old Christopher Isaacs of Irvine KY who had been in possession of the vehicle. He stated that he no longer had the vehicle, and he was placed under arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle 1st Offense.

ARRESTED

Public Intoxication: On 03/11/2019 officers were called to the area of Paint Lick Road in reference to a person passed out in a vehicle. Upon contact, the subject showed several signs of impairment and was placed under arrest.

Officers charged 36 year old Jason Short of Berea KY with Public Intoxication.

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 03/12/2019 officers were called to People’s Bank in the early morning hours in reference to a subject passed out in a vehicle. The subject was unsteady on his feet when he exited his car and showed several other signs of impairment.

Officers arrested 33 year old Travis Jones of Berea KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
