Garrard County Police Report Feb. 6, 2019

On February 5, 2019, around 11:11 a.m. Garrard County Police Department received a call in reference to an approximately 40-year-old female that had been reported missing since Friday evening.

An investigation and tip led Garrard County Police officers Tevis Graham, Eric Taylor and Brad Caldwell to King’s Mill Road in Northern Garrard County. At King’s Mill Marina a vehicle was located entirely submerged in the lake, and after recovery officers found a deceased female in the vehicle who has been identified by family as the missing person. At this time a death investigation is being conducted by Garrard County Police.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no names are being released at this time. Foul play is not suspected. The deceased will be taken to the state medical examiner in Frankfort for an autopsy.

The investigation continues by Investigator Brad Caldwell.
