Berea Police Report Feb. 5, 2019

ARRESTED

Shoplifting Arrests: On 02/02/2019 officers were called to Walmart in reference to two shoplifters. Store employees observed the two subjects go through the self-checkout line, where they only paid for some items. They then attempted to leave the store with several items that they did not pay for.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Kaci Wilmott of Brodhead KY and 25-year-old Toby Bishop of Brodhead KY. They were both charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 02/04/2019 officers responded to Miracle Street to locate a subject with an active arrest warrant. They located 38-year-old Anthony Johnson of Berea KY and he was placed under arrest. Johnson attempted to give a false identity, but officers were quickly able to determine his true identity.

As he was being transported, an officer observed a piece of folded paper in his hand. It contained suspected Heroin and Johnson had concealed it inside of his mouth.

He was charged with Giving an Officer False Identifying Information, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Heroin).

ARRESTED

Shoplifting Arrest: On 02/02/2019 store employees at Walmart observed a subject at the self-checkout attempt to leave with items that she did not pay for.

Officers arrested 50-year-old Tonya Hubbard of Richmond KY and charged her with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 01/29/2019 a traffic stop was conducted on Prince Royal Drive for an expired registration plate. The driver of the vehicle had an active warrant and was placed under arrest. A pat down was conducted on a passenger in the vehicle, and suspected Methamphetamine was located along with Clonazepam and Methadone tablets. He also had a set of digital scales and several small plastic bags.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Steven Holt of Berea KY and charged him with the following:

-Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree
-Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree
-Drug Paraphernalia Possession
