Arrest: On 11/30/2018, police charged Hennessey Lashae Tevis, age 21, London, KY, for several offenses after responding to a stabbing in the area of Red House and Union City Road in Richmond.
On 11/29/2018 at approximately 2:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the above location to investigate a report of a male subject suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers found a male in the area suffering from visible stab wounds and immediately called for medical assistance. The male was then transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. The victim reported to police that the suspect stabbed him after a verbal disagreement inside his vehicle. The victim was able to escape after the attack and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Further investigation identified, Hennessey Lashae Tevis, age 21, as the suspect. Tevis was later located in London, KY by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and taken into custody.
Tevis had outstanding warrants from Madison County for:
– Bail Jumping 1st Degree
– Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Heroin)
On 11/30/2018, Richmond Police obtained an arrest warrant for Tevis charging her with the following offenses:
– Assault 1st Degree
– Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
– Theft by Unlawful Taking-Auto
Tevis is currently being held at the Laurel County Correctional Facility.
