KSP Charges LaRue Co. Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses


On December 18, 2018, at approximately 3:18 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested christopher Michael Hayslip, 44, on a fugitive from another state warrant.

Hayslip was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee, began the investigation after discovering the suspect communicating with juveniles in Tennessee and Kentucky online to include sending nude images and arranging to meet for illegal sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in New Haven on December 18, 2018. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Hayslip is currently charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means and one count of solicitation of a minor.

He was lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center.
