Randall Keith Conley

Randall Keith Conley, 63, of Berea, KY, passed away on November 20, 2018. He was born to parents Cecil Dean Conley and Leatha Katherine Conley December 23, 1954 in Paintsville, Kentucky.

He attended Salyersville High School before joining the Army in December, 1973. He served until April, 1975.

Randall and Connie Lynn Kelley were married August 19, 1978. Together, they raised three children: Rick Conley (Glenda) of Salyersville, Ky, Kelley Nicole Cox (Keaneen) and Angela Carol McMullin (Stacey) of Berea, Ky.

Randall was initiated into local 231 in El Paso, Texas in July, 1976 beginning his steady career as a pipefitter and skilled tradesman. He transferred into Local 452 January, 1985 in Lexington, Ky. Randall was elected Business Agent June 2, 1990 for a partial term and then was reelected in December, 1990 for his first full term. After many years of service to Local 452 he resigned August, 2004 taking another position with KPTA Organizers Job retiring in 2009.

Randall thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, often seen fishing, hunting, camping or four wheeling with them prior to being diagnosed with cancer. He along with his brothers and sisters looked forward to family get-togethers and dinners in Salyersville Ky often held at his parents’ home, Cecil and Leatha. There was nothing Randall enjoyed more than a good home cooked meal and Connie spent a lot of time in the kitchen preparing many! Randall enjoyed cooking himself, often preparing meals for the two of them or for whomever was stopping by to visit.

Randall is survived by Brothers-Gary Dean Conley (Nancy), Doug Conley (Kelli) of Berea, Ky, Sisters-Pam Howard (Gary), Sandra Rudd (Jesse) of Salyersville, Ky, Kathy Lyon (Philip) of Louisa, Ky, and Phyllis Greene (Jerry) of Pikeville, Ky. Grandchildren-Austin Kelley, Joseph Kelley, Ryan Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Gage Cox, Sarah Howard and Tarah Patrick and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much.

Randall gave his life to the Lord in 1979 and years later became a faithful member of Roundstone Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon Kentucky. There, he formed many lasting friendships and served many years as a Sunday school teacher and mentor to the youth.

The family has entrusted Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with the arrangements. Visitation is Friday, November 23rd, 2018, 6:00pm-9:00pm. Services will be held Saturday, November 24th, 2018 2:00pm at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Floyd, Rev. Paul Pearson and Michael Dixon officiating the ceremony.

A reception will follow at Roundstone Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Ky immediately after interment at Scaffold Cane Cemetery.

Pall Bearers: Austin Kelley, Ryan Johnson, Rick Conley, Gary Conley, Doug Conley, Eddie Wilson. Honorary Pall Bearers: Robert Johnson, TL Ranson, Kenny Ruggles, David Walker, Larry Sanderson and Larry Robinson.
