KSP/EKU To Open Digital Forensics Lab in Richmond

WHAT: News Conference and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for new Ky. State Police Digital Forensics Laboratory at Eastern Kentucky University

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, 2:00 p.m. ET

WHERE: Memorial Science Building, Room 184, Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Ky.

WHO: Lt. Col. Jeff Medley, Kentucky State Police Technical Services Division Director; Dr. Michael T. Benson, Eastern Kentucky University President; Dr. Ka-Wing Wong, Professor at EKU Computer Science Department.

WHY: Through a partnership between KSP and EKU, a satellite digital forensics laboratory of the KSP Electronic Crime Branch will be established to process evidence more efficiently for law enforcement in the eastern region of the state while providing students with advanced educational opportunities.
