A member of an elite ninja troupe will be traveling from Japan to around Kentucky and Tennessee to share the art of ninjutsu with the mid-south.
The ninja Tomonosuke has been trained in ninjutsu by his father, a ninja master, since age 5. He specializes in Japanese swords, shuriken (ninja throwing stars), the art of disguise, the art of grappling hooks and rope, and the art of chains and sickles. Tomonosuke is part of the ASHURA ninja troupe, an elite group which has demonstrated its ninja prowess in the United States, Spain, France, Italy, China, Korea, and all over the world.
Audience members will get the chance to learn more about the life of a ninja from Tomonosuke as well as see his skills in action – and maybe even throw a shuriken themselves! All events are free and open to the public and are suitable for all ages.
Tomonosuke will be visiting Berea, Kentucky as well as Murray, Louisville, and Frankfort in Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee. Saturday, September 8, 2018 Berea, KY, Berea College 3:30 Presentation at the Musser Theatre, Jelkyl Building.
