Berea Police Report Jul. 19, 2018


Drug Arrests: On 07/12/2018 officers were called to Knight’s Inn in reference to a welfare check. The room was occupied by two adults and a 3 year old child. Inside of the room they located suspected Methamphetamine, syringes, and spoons.

Officers arrested 26 year old Bobby Scroggins of Berea KY and 25 year old Kaitlin Scroggins of Berea KY. They were both charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Drug Paraphernalia Possession, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.


Giving False Identifying Information: On 07/08/2018 officers arrested a female at Knight’s Inn who identified herself as Linda Baker. She was arrested and charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree. On 07/11/2018 it was discovered that she had given a false identity to the officers, and had already been released from the detention center.

Her true identity was 59 year old Louise Saylor of Berea KY, and she had several outstanding arrest warrants. On 07/12/2018 she was again located at Knight’s Inn and placed under arrest.

She was charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree and Giving an Officer False Identifying Information.


Public Intoxication: On 07/11/2018 officers were called to Redi Mart on Glades Road in reference to someone who was possibly under the influence. The subject was located sitting in a parked vehicle, and he showed several signs of impairment.

Officers arrested 48 year old Curtis Justice of Berdine KY and charged him Public Intoxication.
