On Wednesday, June 6, 2018 around 6:00 p.m., the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit received a complaint of suspected drug trafficking in a room at Country Side Inn in Richmond.
Detective Kevin Crutcher and Deputy Jeff Bol obtained information two people involved may have active warrants. The deputies made entry into two rooms at Country Side Inn and located Steven Roden, Timothy Burns and Lori Murphy.
Deputy Crutcher and Deputy Bol determined Timothy Burns and Lori Murphy were both wanted on active warrants. Upon further investigation, deputies seized suspected Methamphetamine, suspected Heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Steven Roden, 32 years old of Richmond was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Heroin). In addition to the drug charges, Steven Roden was arrested on an active federal warrant for probation violation.
Timothy Burns, 42 years old and Lori Murphy, 32 years old both of Richmond were arrested on active warrants.
Roden, Burns and Murphy were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
