KSP Investigates Overnight Shooting in Madison Co.


The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called just before 2:30 am this morning, and notified of a shooting that occurred at a residence on East Rice Lane in Madison County.

The initial investigation indicates that one man was shot during an altercation at the residence, and was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the alleged shooter James E. Snowden, 52 years old of Richmond, was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree. Ronda G. Jones, 39 years old of Richmond, was also arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Assault 1st Degree. Both subjects have been lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Adam Hall. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Madison County EMS.
