DUI/Drug Arrests: On 02/13/2018 officers were called to North Broadway in reference to a drug complaint. The vehicle that was involved was located in a parking lot on North Broadway, and was occupied by a male and female. The driver had an odor of alcohol, and there were several open alcohol containers in the vehicle. An officer observed the female passenger attempt to conceal something in her purse. Further investigation revealed she was in possession of rolling papers and 1 pill.
Officers arrested 51 year old Dewayne Dillard of Berea KY and 49 year old Peggy McQueary of Somerset KY. After the two were transported to the Madison County Detention Center, the transporting officer located several items in the backseat of his cruiser where McQueary had been sitting. These items included syringes, spoons, and a plastic bag containing methamphetamine.
Dillard was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense and Possession of Open Alcohol Container in a Motor Vehicle. McQueary was charged with the following:
-Possession of Marijuana
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Drug Paraphernalia Possession
-Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug
DUI Arrest: On 02/14/2018 officers were called to Redi Mart on Glades Road in reference to a male subject passed out in a vehicle. They located the subject who was still passed out at the wheel, but were able to get him to wake up. The subject showed signs of impairment, and was placed under arrest. Inside of the vehicle they located a syringe and a piece of clear plastic with white residue.
Officers arrested 28 year old Blaine Pennington of Berea KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 3rd Offense and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.
Receiving Stolen Property: On 02/14/2018 officers were called to Haiti Road in reference to a suspicious activity. They located an occupied vehicle at Knight’s Inn and made contact with the driver. The vehicle had been spray painted and they soon discovered that it was a stolen vehicle.
Officers arrested 22 year old Jordan Eldredge of IL and charged him with Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or More and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
Drug Arrest: On 02/12/2018 officers were called to the area of Oak Street in reference to a male on foot who was possibly under the influence. The subject was located on Lewis Street, and showed several signs of impairment. Inside of his pants pocket he had a cigarette pack containing suspected synthetic drugs, and a clear plastic bag containing suspected heroin.
Officers arrested 24 year old Dakota Pingleton of Berea KY and charged him with the following:
-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Heroin)
-Possession of Synthetic Drugs
Theft: On 02/12/2018 a resident in the 100 block of Commerce Drive reported that items were stolen from his vehicle overnight. Estimated Loss: $35.00.
