Letter to the Editor

With President Trump pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Accord it’s time to re-invigorate the horse and buggy industry. We need more horses and buggies and we can rest assured this industry will employ at least 70,000 remaining U.S. coal workers who would have been displaced if the non-binding Accord was left in place. These hardworking coal workers and their families certainly deserve everything that our country can do to retrain, relocate, and financially support them as they transition their lives to the horse and buggy industry. We can only hope that ALL governmental leaders, including Senator McConnell guarantee this long overdue revitalization of the coal mining community so that these wonderful Americans can be assured of the opportunity to pursue the American dream. They deserve our thanks and support for having made America Great in the first place. Mr. Trump and the rest of the ‘Republican Washington gang who can’t shoot straight’ will likely fail these families and leave them in the coal dust of history. To Tweet quote our President: SAD – Brad Seiser

  1. Your sarcasm is misplaced and misleading. The only binding portion of the Accord was the United States responsibility to dissolve certain industries, and FUND it’s implementation in both Second and Third world countries.
