According to Madison County Sheriff Mike Coyle, on October 7th, 2015 at approximately 7:40 a.m., Deputy Billy Beavers responded to Red Lick Road on a suspicious vehicle complaint.

Deputy Beavers located the vehicle and made contact with the occupants, at which time he observed drugs and drug paraphernalia inside. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of approximately 2 grams of Methamphetamine, 1 gram of Heroin, components for the manufacture of Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana.

Christopher Cates, 34, Waco and Brenda S. Turner, 50, Richmond, were charged with; 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, and Possession of Marijuana. They were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
