Teresa G. Roark Johnson, 61, of Richmond, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at Baptist Health – Lexington. She was born March 11, 1954, in Madison County to Ed Roark and the late Helen Moberly Roark.
Teresa was a real estate agent with Prudential-Don Foster and Associates for 20 years and was a private building contractor.
Teresa, who was a member of Faith Baptist Church, was a caring and generous person, who was always willing to help her family and others less fortunate and in need. She was a loving, diligent caregiver for both of her parents. Teresa was a supportive “softball mother”, an avid baseball follower, and enjoyed her role as a Board member for both Richmond Little League and Richmond Softball League.
In addition to her father, Ed Roark, survivors include her husband, Paul Johnson and one son, Samuel Edward Vaughn, both of Richmond; three daughters, Jessica Tipton (Derek) of Richmond, Robyn Johnson Moreland (Tom) and Paula Roxann Gordon (Rick), both of Berea; one brother, Keith Roark (Karen) of Georgetown and sister-in-law, Viola Roark, the widow of her brother, Jimmy.
Teresa was the loving grandmother of Dakota Lakes, Samantha William, Holden Tipton, Charlie Moreland, Noah Moreland, Samuel Moreland, Whitney Moreland, Maddy McLin, Cannon McLin, Tess McLin, Graham Gordon, Kennedy Gordon and Ethan Gordon. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Services for Teresa will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2015, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Pastor John Doss officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Troy Roark, Adam Lamb, Terry Moberly, Curtis Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, and Noah Noble.
