Richmond Police Report Aug. 4, 2015


RSP Charge: On 07/28/2015, police charged Paul S. Goss, age 30, Willow Drive, in connection with the theft of a laptop computer.

On 07/18/2015, a representative of Adams Buick GMC, 1017 Berea Road, reported that a black Toshiba Satellite laptop computer and a black Compaq 17” laptop computer were stolen from the business during the previous evening. Suspect: Goss was identified as a suspect in the theft as he was present in the business during the time period in which the computers were stolen.

The follow-up investigation revealed that later in the evening, Goss was arrested by the Lexington Police and his vehicle was impounded. The stolen Toshiba laptop was subsequently located in the impounded vehicle. It was recovered and returned to the business.

On 07/289/2015, a warrant was served on Goss at the Fayette County Detention Center, charging him for Receiving Stolen Property $500 to $10,000.

Robbery: On 08/03/15, at approximately 9:57 A.M., officers were dispatched to a reported armed robbery at Mi Pueblo, 465 Eastern Bypass. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male subject, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black bandana covering his face, dark gloves, and jeans entered the business through the front door. The suspect pointed a small semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and ordered her to move away from the cash register. The suspect then went behind the desk register and removed money from several areas behind the counter that was being prepared for deposit. The suspect also picked up the cordless phones lying on the counter and took them with him. The suspect then fled out the rear of the business. The cordless phones were later recovered outside the rear of the business. A search of the surrounding area by officers and a K-9 unit proved fruitless. The amount of cash taken will remain undisclosed.

Possession of Burglary Tools: On 08/04/2015, police charged Johnny G. Richardson, age 40, Country Hearth Inn, for Possession of Burglary Tools after he was observed attempting to gain entry into parked vehicles.

At approximately 2:50 A.M., witnesses in the 200 block of Shamrock Lane observed a male, later identified as Richardson, utilizing an item to attempt to gain entry to a parked vehicle. The witnesses contacted police and an officer located and detained Richardson as he was fleeing from the location. It was further determined that Richardson had been attempting to break into other vehicles without success. The officer recovered a flashlight and gloves from Richardson’s person.

He was cited for Possession of Burglary Tools and released.
