Alternate Publishing announced that Thomas Smith’s book LIVING LEADERSHIP was selected an Award Wining Finalist in the 2015 International Book Awards for Business – Careers.
Thomas Smith, 1979 Berea College graduate, is considered a leading authority on organizational structure and the practices of leading and managing and his book “Living Leadership” has been honored in the 2015 International Book Awards, Business: Careers category. Jeffrey Keen, President and CEO of USA Book News, said this year’s contest yielded over 1200 entries from authors and publishers around the world, which were then narrowed down to the final results. Thomas Smith said, “It is such an incredible honor to be recognized. Today is a good day indeed.”
After graduating with degrees in economics and management at Berea College, Thomas Smith went to work for the U.S. government, where he became a senior executive in the U.S. Treasury Department. He completed the Masters of Science degree in Administration from Central Michigan University in 1992 and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, University of Pennsylvania, in executive leadership in 1991. Thomas has built a deserved reputation as a thought leader and visionary regarding organizational development. Thomas is a trainer for the Rotary Leadership Institute and a member of the Cadre of Technical Advisers, area of focus economic and community development, for the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. He traveled to southern India in 2014 to provide education and literacy training.
