Jeri Allison has been selected as Director of Development of the Baptist Health Foundation Richmond, the hospital announced today. Allison will begin her new role July 14.
This is a homecoming for Allison as she returns to the Richmond community where she spent the majority of her 25+ fundraising career before moving to Lafayette, La. in 2013. Most recently, Allison served as the Executive Director of Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic where she managed all aspects of the free clinic and raised $280,000 in four months to ensure financial stability for the organization.
Prior to leaving for Louisiana, Allison was the Program Director for the Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women; Executive Director for the Family Counseling Service; Director of Development for Hope’s Place, as well as a Development Officer in the higher education at both Eastern Kentucky University and Berea College.
Barry Stumbo, the East Region Foundation Executive for Baptist Health, said, “Jeri brings a tremendous amount of non-profit management and fundraising success to the position. Her knowledge of the community and the relationships she has developed over the years will be invaluable as we move forward in supporting the mission of Baptist Health Richmond.”
Allison earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and is also a graduate of The National Institute of Planned Giving and The Fundraising School.
In her new role Allison will direct, implement and manage the overall development and fundraising efforts for Baptist Health Richmond, including major gifts, the Annual Fund, planned giving, capital campaigns and coordinating the board of directors.
