Berea artist Mary Lykins will demonstrate how she creates her fabric dolls from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea. As a doll artist Lykins is completely self-taught and learned her craft by reading and experimenting. Through trial and error she has come to create a variety of fabric dolls in a variety of styles.
The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea currently features works by more than 700 artisans from more than 100 counties across the Commonwealth. Convenient to visitors throughout the year, the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is located at 200 Artisan Way, just off Interstate 75 at Berea, Exit 77. The center’s exhibits, shopping and travel information areas are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the cafe is open 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free.
