Songs often reflect a society’s joys, sorrows, values, and visions. Join Kentucky musician Jennifer Rose and her family in a musical exploration of traditional songs about life and work in the Southern Highlands.
Jennifer Rose grew up as the youngest of six children in a music and dance focused family in Berea. She earned a vocal music degree from Berea College in 1992 and has recorded 10 albums of traditional Appalachian music. Her performances have delighted audiences around the world, but her favorite place to be is right here in Kentucky. She performs regularly with her daughters: Lydia (12) and Isabel (10), and works extensively as a visiting artist in schools across Kentucky and Tennessee.
Jennifer will be performing her History to Cew on Series Tuesday August 13 at 416 Rebmann Lane, Lexington, KY from 6:15pm until 8:00pm.
