Former Richmond Police Officer Indicted


Cybercrimes investigators, with assistance from Kentucky State Police, executed a search warrant on the Richmond home of thirty-six year old James Rogers on Tuesday. The charges against Rogers stem from an undercover investigation that began on November 19, 2011. The Kentucky Attorney General”s Office announced Wednesday a grand jury indicted Rogers, a former Richmond Police officer for possessing child pornography. It charges him with 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Rogers is in the Madison County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. Rogers is to appear in Madison Circuit Court on January 12, 2012 to answer to the charges.
