Judith Faye Agee Woodward

RICHMOND — Judith Faye Agee Woodward, 64, of Dixie Plaza, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011, in her home.
Mrs. Woodward was born in Madison County on September 8, 1946, to Gilbert and Dolly Warren Agee. She had worked for Wal-Mart and was of the Pentecostal faith. Her favorite pasttime was working puzzles.

Survivors include her son: James Johns (Kristy) of Richmond, her daughter: Emily Johnson (fiancé, David Harrison) of Richmond, her brother: Clarence “Tidy” Agee (Shelia); two sisters: Patsy Shouse (James) and Emily Berryman; five grandchildren: Ashley Thompson (James), James Johns, Brittany Johnson, Tiffany Johnson and Trevor Johnson; brother-in-law: Charlie Woodward (Sharon); sister-in-law: Nellie Woodward; and special friend: Emma Lou Abshear Lewis.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodward is also preceded in death by her husband: Hubert Woodward, and three brothers: Lavon Dalton, Jack Agee and Glenn Agee.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Johns and Sister Vickie Young officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m.. Wednesday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral home. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Parks, James Thompson, James Johns, James Shouse, Jim Palmer, Stephen Hembree, Frank Agee and James Smith. Honorary Bearers will be Regina Coulter and David Samples.

Wilma Lee “Cindy” Moore

RICHMOND — Wilma Lee “Cindy” Moore, 52, Richmond, lost her battle with cancer June 25, 2011. The former owner of Newby Grocery and longtime paper carrier, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Barbara Sue “Popeye” Nayle Moore. She is survived by an uncle, Bob Nayle and wife Suzanne, Richmond, a wealth of loving cousins, and a circle of devoted friends. A gathering to celebrate her life, love of nature, food and tie-dye will be conducted July 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lake Reba, Richmond, Shelter C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Humane Society, or to benefit the Red River Gorge with checks made to USDA Forest Service, memo line “RGG donation in memory of Cindy Moore”, sent to Red River Gorge Manager, attn: Donation, 3451 Skybridge Rd KY 715, Stanton, KY 40380.

Orena Gum Flynn

IRVINE — Orena Gum Flynn, 98, widow of Ralph W. Flynn, passed away Friday at her residence. Mrs. Flynn was born January 7, 1913, in Estill County, a daughter of the late Charley and Mamie Johnson Gum. She graduated from Irvine High, and the Perry Business School. She was also a licensed hairdresser. She marred Ralph Flynn on June 30, 1934, at the Ravenna Christian Church. They made their home at 607 Broadway, in Irvine, and were the owner/operators of Flynn””””s Porter Paint Shop for 35 years.

She was a member of the Four Season””””s Garden Club, the Estill County Homemakers. She was a Kentucky Colonel. She was the most recognized Senior UK basketball fan. She had been a resident of Irvine Health Care Center for five years, and a resident of Morning Pointe in Richmond for three years.

Survivors include: her son Charles DRhonda (Barbara) Flynn of Counce, TN; a daughter Karen Wesly Flynn (Scotty) Fulton of Maysville; six grandchildren, Chiara Louann Fulton Harris of Georgetown, Linda Gail Fulton McKee of May””””s Lick, Ky., Janet Flynn (Matt) Mulroy of Memphis, Tenn., Barry Burgin (Karen) Flynn of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Maurie Flynn (Rick) Cox of Memphis, TN, Lance Allen (Ellen) Flynn of Memphis,Tenn.; 11 great grandchildren, Jameson Scott Harris, Kyle Lee Williams, Mallory Mulroy, Nathan Mulroy, Mary Margaret Mulroy, Analise Flynn, Cailyn Flynn, Sean Flynn, Harper Cox, Lauren Flynn and Katie Flynn; special friends Eileen Bailey of Irvine, Barbar Welch of Irvine, family of Morning Pointe of Richmond, Ky.

Services will be conducted Monday, July 4 at Ravenna Christian Church, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Tony White officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 10 a.m. service time Monday, at the church. Lewis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
