Berea Police Report Oct. 31, 2018

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 10/26/2018 officers were called to a motor vehicle collision on Brenwood Street. One of the drivers had a strong odor of alcohol and showed several other signs of intoxication. An investigation into the collision revealed that he had driven on the wrong side of the road and struck two other vehicles.

Officers arrested 25-year-old James Thompson of Brodhead KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense, Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree, and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle.

ARRESTED

Forged Checks: On 10/25/2018 officers were called to Glades Road in reference to a subject who had just left People’s Bank. The subject had attempted to cash a forged check for over $2,000 and left the bank on foot when he was unable to do so.

The subject was located and placed under arrest.

Officers charged 32-year-old Samuel Kiger of Lexington KY with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree.

ARRESTED

Public Intoxication: On 10/24/2018 an officer observed a subject who was passed out in the parking lot of Park Community Credit Union. The subject was inside of a vehicle and showed several signs of impairment.

Officers arrested 31-year-old Bruce Farra of McKee KY and charged him with Public Intoxication.

ARRESTED

Promoting Contraband: On 10/24/2018 officers arrested 32-year-old Corey Ashbrook of Richmond KY for an arrest warrant. When he was booked into the detention center, a Marijuana cigarette and a syringe containing suspected Heroin were located on his person.

He was charged with Promoting Contraband 1st Degree.
