Berea Police Report July 25, 2018

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 07/23/2018 officers were called to the area of Menelaus Road in reference to a reckless driver. The vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was unsteady on his feet and showed several other signs of impairment. A syringe loaded with an unknown substance was located inside of the vehicle.

Officers arrested 33 year old Clifton Willoughby of Richmond KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 07/19/2018 a traffic stop was conducted on Prince Royal Drive after a traffic violation was observed. As the officer began speaking with the driver, a needle cap fell out of his pocket, and he showed several signs of impairment.

Officers arrested 45 year old Thomas Dees of Berea KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.

Shoplifting Arrest: On 07/18/2018 Walmart employees observed a female remove several price tags from clothing items and replace them with lower price tags. She then went through the self-checkout and paid the incorrect price for the items, before being stopped by employees.

Officers arrested 23 year old Rebecca Hamblin of Sandgap KY and charged her with Theft By Unlawful Taking (Shoplifting).

ARRESTED

Shoplifting Arrest: On 07/18/2018 Walmart employees observed a female in the store conceal several items in her purse. She then removed price tags from clothing items and replaced them with lower price tags. She paid for some items but was stopped by store employees before leaving the property.

Officers arrested 18 year old Samantha Yancey of Berea KY and charged her with Theft By Unlawful Taking (Shoplifting).

ARRESTED

Sexual Abuse: On 07/18/2018 Investigators arrested 56 year old Michael Valentour of Berea KY as the result of an investigation. The investigation revealed that he engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior in the presence of a child.

He was charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree Victim Under 12 Years of Age.

ARRESTED

Shoplifting Arrest: On 07/11/2018 officers were called to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Store employees observed a subject attempt to leave the store with merchandise that they did not pay for.

Officers arrested 29 year old Jasmine Roberson of Richmond KY and charged her with Theft By Unlawful Taking (Shoplifting).
