According to Madison County Sheriff Mike Coyle, on Monday, May 7, 2018 around 9:00 p.m., Deputy Paul Lay observed a vehicle traveling east on Irvine Road without the headlights illuminated.
Deputy Lay conducted a traffic stop and during the course of the traffic stop he witnessed suspicious activity which lead to a search of the vehicle. After continued investigation, Deputy Lay seized suspected Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Inger Bailey, 50 years old, of Richmond was arrested and charged with Failure to Illuminate Head Lamps, Failure to Produce Insurance Card and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).
Douglas Adams, 35, also of Richmond was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).
Bailey and Adams were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
