Public Intoxication: On 05/01/2018 officers were called to George Street in reference to a suspicious person. The subject was located and showed several signs of impairment.
Officers arrested 34-year-old Anthony Lamb of Berea KY and charged him with Public Intoxication.
Drug Arrest: On 04/30/2018 officers were called to the 200 block of Glades Road to assist EMS on a medical call. Inside of the apartment, there were several people, including a male subject with an arrest warrant. A female who was with the subject had three needles inside of her purse. One of them was loaded with suspected Methamphetamine.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Gerri Kindred of Richmond KY and charged her with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.
Shoplifting Arrest: On 04/28/2018 Walmart employees observed a female subject conceal several items before attempting to leave the store.
Officers arrested 41-year-old Valerie Gabbard of Lancaster KY and charged her with Theft by Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.
Drug Arrest: On 04/28/2018 officers were observing a residence where they had received several complaints of drug activity. They observed a subject leaving the residence that had an active arrest warrant, and made contact with him. The subject gave the officers a false name, but they were able to confirm his identity. He was then placed under arrest for the warrant. Inside of his backpack officers located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, pipes, a loaded handgun, and scales. More drug paraphernalia was located inside of his residence.
Officers charged 26-year-old Ryan Combs of Berea KY with the following:
-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
-Trafficking in Marijuana
-Drug Paraphernalia Possession
-Giving Officer False Identifying Information
-Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
-No Operators License
DUI Arrest: On 04/28/2018 officers were called to a disturbance on South Powell Street. A vehicle was observed driving in the area, and officers made contact with the driver. The driver had a strong odor of alcohol and showed several signs of intoxication.
Officers arrested 48-year-old Keith Whitaker of Berea KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
Public Intoxication: On 04/28/2018 officers were called to the Family Dollar in reference to a suspicious person. The subject was located in the parking lot and showed several signs of impairment.
Officers arrested 35-year-old Jeffery Kirkland of Berea KY and charged him with Public Intoxication.
Shoplifting Arrest: On 04/27/2018 Walmart employees observed a female subject conceal merchandise, then attempt to leave the store. She was stopped by store employees who learned that she had previously been banned from the property.
Officers arrested 59-year-old Carol Holt of Berea KY and charged her with Theft by Unlawful Taking Shoplifting and Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree.
Shoplifting Arrest: On 04/26/2018 Walmart employees observed a male subject remove some merchandise from the packaging. He then concealed the items and attempted to leave the store, before being stopped by the employees.
Officers arrested 30-year-old Christopher Lamb of Berea KY and charged him with Theft by Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.
Public Intoxication: On 04/24/2018 officers were called to McDonald’s on Glades Road in reference to a subject who was passed out in a booth. The subject was located and showed several signs of impairment.
Officers arrested 34-year-old Steve Napier of Berea KY and charged him with Public Intoxication.
Indecent Exposure: On 04/21/2018 officers were called to McDonald’s in reference to a subject who was exposing himself. When they arrived, they located the subject behind the restaurant. Several witnesses stated that he had exposed himself in front of the large window at the play area.
Officers arrested 52-year-old Ty Embry of Paint Lick KY and charged him with Indecent Exposure 1st Degree and Disorderly Conduct.
Update On 04/24/2018 after further investigation of this incident, Embry was also charged with 3 counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, Victim U/12 Years of Age. Embry engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior in front of several small children inside of the business.
