Berea Police Report Mar. 13, 2018

ARRESTED

Drug Arrests: On 03/04/2018 officers were called to Walmart in reference to a male subject passed out in a vehicle. Before they arrived, a female got in the vehicle and the two drove away. The car was spotted on Paint Lick Road and a traffic stop was conducted. The male driver had an active arrest warrant, and the female passenger had merchandise from Walmart concealed on her person. A small amount of Marijuana, needles, and a Hydrocodone tablet were located in the vehicle.

Officers arrested 26 year old Shyann Morgan of Brodhead KY and 35 year old William Baker of Mount Vernon KY. Both subjects were charged with Possession of Marijuana. Morgan was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Drug Paraphernalia Possession, and Theft by Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.

ARRESTED

Giving an Officer False Information: On 03/10/2018 officers were called to Knight’s Inn in reference to a male subject in the parking lot. As they were speaking to him he provided a name and stated that he didn’t have ID. As they were talking, his ID fell out of his pants pocket, and he admitted that he had given a false name.

He was identified as 32 year old Jonathon Lewis of Mount Vernon KY, and he had an active arrest warrant. He was also charged with Giving an Officer False Identifying Information.

ARRESTED

Public Intoxication: On 03/10/2018 officers were called to Clark’s Pump and Shop in reference to a male subject harassing customers. The subject had slurred speech and showed several other signs of impairment.

Officers arrested 41 year old Eddie Gentry of Mount Vernon KY and charged him with Public Intoxication.

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 03/06/2018 officers were called to a dispute on Kayla Drive, where one of the parties was intoxicated. The subject was spotted driving as they were headed to the scene, and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver had a strong odor of alcohol, and showed several signs of intoxication.

Officers arrested 39 year old Aaron Smith of Essie KY and charged him Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 03/05/2018 officers were called to the area of Lewis Street in reference to a female going door to door. She was located in a parking lot and showed several signs of impairment. She was also in possession of two Xanax tablets that were located in her vehicle.

Officers arrested 48 year old Patricia Mays of Berea KY and charged her with Public Intoxication, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container, and Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 03/05/2018 a traffic stop was conducted on Old US 25 for a minor traffic infraction. The driver of the vehicle seemed disoriented and showed several other signs of impairment.

Officers arrested 39 year old Donald Roe of Richmond KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 03/04/2018 officers were called to a residence on Bridge Ave in reference to a disturbance. They made contact with a female who was getting into her vehicle when they arrived. Suspected methamphetamine was located sitting on the dash of the vehicle, and needles were located inside.

Officers arrested 21 year old Brittany Thomas of Berea KY and charged her with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree.

ARRESTED

Receiving Stolen Property: On 02/26/2018 officers were called to McDonald’s on Brenwood Street in reference to someone passed out in a vehicle. They were able to wake up the subject, and learned that he had an active arrest warrant. They also learned that the vehicle he was in had been reported stolen out of Corbin KY.

Officers arrested 26 year old Jacob Bustle of Berea KY and charged him with Receiving Stolen Property U/$10,000.


Shoplifting Arrest: On 02/23/2018 officers were called to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Store employees observed a female conceal several items after removing them from the packaging.

Officers arrested 36 year old Jessica Saylor of Richmond KY and charged her with Theft by Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.
