Berea Police Report Jan. 31, 2018

ARRESTED

Burglary Arrests: On 01/23/2018 officers were called to the 100 block of Silver Creek Drive in reference to a burglary. When they arrived, they found 2 males and 1 female who had attempted to get in to the residence. There was a ladder propped up against a rear window and a knife had been used to try and pry the window open. One of the male subjects ran, but was apprehended a short distance away.

Officers arrested 33 year old Heather Bradley of Brodhead KY, 24 year old Jordan Thomas of Berea KY, and 41 year old Adron McKinney of Brodhead KY. They were all charged with Burglary 2nd Degree. Thomas was also charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree.

ARRESTED

Assault Arrest: On 01/24/2018 officers were called to North Dogwood Drive in reference to a disturbance. Two subjects had been involved in an altercation that ended with one of them being struck by a vehicle.

Officers arrested 47 year old Frances Foster of Berea KY and charged her with Assault 2nd Degree.

ARRESTED

Shoplifting Arrest: On 01/25/2018 employees at Walmart observed a female in the store who was concealing merchandise. They confronted the female and got the items back from her, but she ran out of the store as officers were arriving. After a short foot chase, she was apprehended at BP on McKinney Drive. She was in possession of 27 Gabapentin tablets and several syringes.

Officers arrested 26 year old Madison Frasure of Winchester KY and charged her with the following:

-Theft by Unlawful Taking Shoplifting
-Drug Paraphernalia Possession
-Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
-Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 01/25/2018 officers were called to the area of Interstate 75 to observe for a reckless driver. The vehicle was located getting off of exit 77, where it went off the roadway, then swerved back over the center line. A traffic stop was conducted on Peggy Flats Road, and the driver showed several signs of impairment.

Officers arrested 54 year old Jimmy Banks of Richmond KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense, as well as several other traffic offenses.

ARRESTED

DUI Arrest: On 01/28/2018 an officer observed a vehicle stop in the roadway on Richmond Road, almost causing a collision with another car. The vehicle then pulled over at the dead end area of the Berea Bypass, and the officer made contact with the driver. The driver had an odor of alcohol and showed several other signs of intoxication.

Officers arrested 25 year old Matthew Young of Irvine KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.


Public Intoxication: On 01/26/2018 an officer was flagged down at Rite Aid because of several suspicious subjects inside of the business. One of them had slurred speech, and appeared to be incoherent.

Officers arrested 30 year old Jordan Hayes of Berea KY and charged him with Public Intoxication.

Theft: On 01/28/2018 a resident in the 100 Block of Elm Street reported that a vehicle was stolen from the residence. Estimated Loss: $2,500.00.

Theft: On 01/25/2018 officers were called to Walmart in reference to a theft. The victim reported that items were stolen from her parked vehicle while she was inside of the store. Estimated Loss: $94.00.
