Jimmy McGuire age 73, husband of Kathy Elaine Lamb McGuire, died Wednesday Dec 13, 2017 at his home. Jimmy was born in Coffee County Georgia to the late James McGuire and Pauline Bagley Geiger.
Jimmy was retired from Okonite Cable Company in 2005 and he was a proud member of the IBEW local 2356. Jimmy was also a member of the Crestview Holy Sanctuary Pentecostal Church.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Kathy Lamb McGuire, his sons: James Brent (Amy Louise) McGuire, and Shawn Lane (Vicki Lee) McGuire, his brother Denny Joe McGuire, his sisters Yvonne (Roy Stephen II) Riley, and Mary Ann (Jeff) Holsinger, his grandchildren: Amy Brentaya McGuire, Shawnda Victoria McGuire, and Halie Lane McGuire, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be Sunday Dec. 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Bro. McKinley Holland, Bro. Joe Burns, Bro. Rod Shackleford, and Bro. Tony Couch, Bro Harold Eads. Burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday after 5 pm at the Crestview Holy Sanctuary.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Ramey, Goble Rodgers, Dean Tennent, Bill Pence, Charlie Prather, Howard Miller, Larry Tillery, Vincent Truitt, Shawn McGuire, and Brent McGuire.
Loren Wayne Richmond
Loren Wayne Richmond, age 38, died in a tragic construction accident on Monday, December 11, 2017. Loren was born in Lexington, Kentucky and lived in this area all of his life.
He worked for Scott Excavation and loved to fish.
He is survived by his parents Philip and Carolyn Thomas Kelley, one son Devin Wayne (Taylor) Richmond; two sisters Rhonda Stone and Leslie VanWinkle; step siblings Daniel Kelley and Daphne Kelley; two grandchildren Leander Bay Meyer and Rowan Henry Richmond; his fiancé, Amanda Thomas; eight nieces and nephews and two great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Owen Moody and Rev. Robert Johns officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrill Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-9 pm at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be William Sowder, Tim Lainhart, Robert Thomas, James Snowden, Kevin Duncan, Ricky Anglin, Joe Carroll, and Jimmy Reffett. Honorary bearers will be Carl Kelley and Scott Thomas.
Leslie Marie Gullette
Leslie Marie Gullette, 40 of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, December 13,, 2017, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond. Born November 27, 1977, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Paul Stephen and Barbara Jean Ross Gullette.
She was a research and development technician for the Sherwin-Williams Coating Plant of Richmond and was of the Pentecostal faith. Leslie loved the outdoors and enjoyed photography, fishing and camping. She was also an avid reader and loved her family very much.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Bradley Gullette, and wife Rachel, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and Stephen Gullett of Frankfort. She also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins to mourn her passing and many friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. Bro. Calvin Marshall will officiate the service assisted by Bro. Namon Gooch. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 – 9 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Della Mae Rose
Mrs. Della Mae Coyle Rose, 96, of Irvine, Kentucky, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother fell asleep in death in the loving arms of her children on December 15, 2017. She was born in Estill County on September 18, 1921 to the late Wilce and Amanda Logston Coyle.
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Raymond Rose, also brothers, Dewey, Ralph, Albert, Hampton and Esmer Coyle, and sisters, Anna Douglas, Emma Cates, Loraine Rose, and Hazel Rose.
She was a lifelong homemaker and a loving wife and mother. Her family, Raymond, and their children, were the most important part of her life. She was an adoring wife, and devoted mother and grandmother. She was admired for her warmth, tenderness, loving gentle spirit and great strength her entire life.
She is survived by her three children, Phyllis Wyse, Ken Rose (Beverly), and Judie Albrecht (Richard), two sisters, Verna Hurt and Imogene Richardson (Roy). She was blessed by 5 grandchildren, Sandra, Teresa, Tina, Kevin and Toyna, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many dear friends.
She was precious to everyone who was close to her. She was beloved by her children and their spouses and her grandchildren for all of the time she spent with them. She was always happiest when cooking dinner surrounded by her family. She was a devout member of the Beaver Pond Christian Church for most of her life.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Linville Dunaway and Bro. Glendon Mays officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Aveda Warmouth, 96, passed away Friday afternoon, December 15, 2017 at Kenwood Health and Rehab. Miss. Warmouth was born on December 15, 1921 in Madison County, the daughter of the late Thomas and Susie Rhodus Warmouth.
She was a retired dietitian at the former Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. She loved the farm and farm animals, especially her cats. At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of Richmond, First Church of The Nazarene.
Survivors are three nephews, including Ray Warmouth and wife Betty, who have assisted in the care for Miss. Warmouth the past several years; Pascal Warmouth and wife Dorothy and Merlin Warmouth and wife Ruth; and a niece: Elsie Hall.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Searcy Warmouth, Russell Warmouth and Marion Warmouth.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Madison Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Scott Guiley officiating. The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ima Jean Sewell
Mrs. Ima Jean Brinegar Sewell, 79, of Richmond, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at Baptist Health – Richmond. Mrs. Sewell, the daughter of the late Herman Brinegar and Ethel Kelley Brinegar, was born in Madison County on July 14, 1938.
She had retired from Westinghouse /Phillips Lighting. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and loved caring for her cats. She was of the Christian faith. On February 17, 1962, Mrs. Sewell united in marriage to Billy Sewell who survives.
She is also survived by two sons: Douglas Brinegar and wife Kathy and Wayne Sewell and wife Tabatha all of Lexington; her step-daughter: Debbie Gerdes and husband Ed of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters: Betty Brinegar and Ethel Isbell and husband J.I.; two half brothers: Bobby Brinegar and wife Jackie and Ricky Brinegar; one half sister: Mary Lou Carpenter and husband Tony; three grandchildren: Natasha Sewell, Katlyn Sewell and Abby Sewell; three step grandchildren: Jamie Puckett, Chris Puckett and Beth Staley; three step great grandchildren: J.J. Puckett, Autumn Puckett and Sidney Staley and her step great great grandson, Gavis Puckett; five nephews: Marty Sewell, Scott Sewell, Steve Isbell and wife Karen, Darwin Isbell and wife Teresa and Marc Brinegar; one brother-in-law: Jimmy Sewell and wife Mary and several great nephews and nieces and cousins and her cat, Schwarz.
Mrs. Sewell was also preceded in death by her brother: Rufus Brinegar and three of her cats, Muffin, Angel and Missy.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 18, 2017 at Combs, Parsons & Collins with Johny Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Connie Sue Hatton
Connie Sue Hatton, 59, of Waco, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Baptist Health Hospital – Lexington. She was born on April 29, 1958.
She was a clerk at the VA Medical Center in Lexington and a member of the Greenbriar Baptist Church in Estill County.
Survivors include her daughter, Jusstine Elizabeth Hatton; one brother, John Puckett (Ann); three sisters, Debra K. Hall, Sheila Ray Puckett (Tim) and Mariesa Ann Raymer (Mike); and one grandchild, Kennedy James Hatton.
She was preceded in death by the following family members, James Puckett, Ethel McIntosh Puckett and Sally Puckett Markland.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the College Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday, at the funeral home.
John H. Parks
Dr. John H. Parks, M.D., was born on Sept. 2, 1927 and passed away on Dec. 13, 2017.
He is survived by two children: David and Ann and two grandchildren: Rebecca and Jonathan Parks-Ramage.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and life partner, Elviraa and his second wife, Kathleen.

Rosetta Faye Bryant
Ms. Rosetta Faye Bryant, 70, passed away on Monday evening, December 11, 2017, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond. She was born in Madison County on September 30, 1947.
She worked in the Registration Department at the Pattie A. Clay Hospital. Ms. Bryant loved Bingo and even ran a Bingo Hall for several years. She had very strong beliefs and enjoyed life on her own terms – she could be very caring and generous to those around her.
She is survived by: her son, Steven Lee (Holly); her mother, Minvel Griffith; one sister, Lynda Sudduth; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Lee and Deanna Whiteside (Kendrick); three great-grandchildren, Aleigha Lee, Kendrick Whiteside, Jr., and Justin Whiteside; as well as a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Willie Marshall Tracy; one son, Edwin Tate; and one brother, Bobby Warmouth.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, December 18, 2017, at the Madison County Memorial Gardens. The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Andy Campbell, 83, of Winchester, husband of Louise Scarbrough Campbell, passed away Saturday morning at his home. Mr. Campbell was a native of Perry County, a son of the late Hiram and Dorothy Noble Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a fun loving man that had great affection for his family. He enjoyed watching WLJC, loved University of Kentucky basketball, and wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his sons Richard & Andy Campbell Jr.
Survivors other than his wife of sixty years, Louise, include his children Sammy (Marilyn) Campbell, David (Lisa) Campbell, Bobby Campbell, Kilburn (Tonya) Campbell, Jeffery Campbell, Betty (Finley) Horn, and Melissa Campbell; three brothers; sixteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation is DEC 18, 2017 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home in Richmond, KY. Funeral service will be DEC 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ruth Denny, 85, widow of Ballard Denny Jr., passed away Saturday in Lancaster. Mrs. Denny was a native of Garrad County a daughter of the late Richard “Bunk” and Ida Mae Masters Lamb.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother Harold, and a sister Lucille.
Survivors include her children William Harold (Brenda) Denny, Ricky Joe (Lanita Blair) Denny, Linda Gail (Roy) Floyd; grandchildren Cory Denny, Brent (Alicia) Denny, Chandra (Kevin) Day, Jody Denny, Roger Dale (Crystal) Spires, and Joseph ( Jessica) Husband; and 15 great-grandchilden.
Pallbearers will be Cory Denny, Brent Denny, Joseph Husband, Roger Dale Spires, John Taylor Pryce and Dalton Jackson.

Loveda Allen Walton Farthing, age 77, of Wisemantown Road in Irvine, passed away Monday, December 11th, at her home, following a long illness. She was born March 27, 1940, in Estill County, a daughter of the late Carroll Allen and Lettie Gambrel Walton.
She retired from Westinghouse where she was an inspector and had lived in Estill County all her life. She was a member of the Crooked Creek Christian Church and a former member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Leonard Harvey Farthing.
She is survived by A Daughter Rosemary F. Eveland (Mike Kirby), 1 Son Tommy L. Farthing (Carol) both of Estill Co., 2 Sisters: Irma Abner, Laura McIntosh both of Montgomery Co., A Brother Glendon Walton of Ohio, 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Edward Van Winkle
Edward Van Winkle was born August 17, 1928 in Jackson County, Kentucky and departed this life Thursday December 14, 2017 at his residence in Berea, Ky. being 89 years of age. He was the son of the late Bert Vanwinkle and Maggie Brewer .
Edward is survived by his wife Yvonne Cain VanWinkle and one son Paul Van Winkle and his wife Micki of Liberty, Indiana also one sister Mary V. Marcum of Hamilton, Ohio, three grandchildren Dustin, Eric and Alex VanWinkle.
Other thank his parents Edward as preceded in death by a brother Jr. VanWinkle, and one sister Kathline McQueen.
Edward was a member of the 1016 Holiness Church.
