PHONE SCAM

Scam: We have received several complaints from our citizens about a scam involving a phone call from someone claiming to be a law enforcement officer. They tell the victim that they must pay a fine over the phone or they will be arrested. Law enforcement officers do not call and demand that payments be made over the phone. If you receive this type of call, hang up and do not give out any information.
