The mission of helping others through organ and tissue donation will be at the forefront at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday, July 8, as donor son Joey Gase with BK Racing competes in Sparta.
Joey Gase will return to the No. 23 Best Home Furnishings Toyota Camry for the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway with a very special tribute on the back of his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racecar, honoring the late Ava Branstetter. She attended the same school as the children of a Best Home Furnishings sales representative. Her generous gifts through organ and tissue donation have helped many individuals.
“Since Gase’s mother passed away when he was 18, he has dedicated his racing career to honoring his mother’s legacy through Donate Life,” said Brian Lange, president of Best Home Furnishings. “To use the Best race car as a platform for raising awareness of organ and tissue donations, and to pay tribute to Ava and her family, is a fulfilling purpose for our organizations.”
Gase is very thankful that Best Home Furnishings is allowing him to honor Ava and promote organ, eye, and tissue donation. “This proves how great of a family the Lange’s are and how great of a company Best Home Furnishings is,” says Gase.
Darlene Snyder, Madison Co. Circuit Clerk says, “Ava was a hero, and Joey’s campaign to educate the nation about this mission touches so many lives. Nearly 1.8 million people have put that heart on their driver’s license. I know that Joey & Ava will inspire even more fans to register as an organ donor in Kentucky. We can all join the Registry to be a hero to those in need.”
