Theft By Unlawful Taking: On 05/11/2017, Richmond police arrested Cassie Seals,26 Saddlebrook Circle Richmond, Kentucky and Bradley J. Hatton, 27 Old Muddy Creek. Waco, Kentucky after the two stole a 1988 Chev pickup from the gas pumps at Redi Mart on Redhouse Road. Officers pursued the vehicle traveling at low speeds, getting the truck stopped on Barnesmill near Deer Creek Subdivision. The Sheriffs Office deployed spike strips at Barnesmill and Goggins. Both subjects were transported to U.K, where they were treated for being manifestly under the influence of an intoxicant and were semi conscious after the traffic stop.
The driver, later identified as Cassie Seals gave officers several false names. Cassie Seals was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking $500 or more, but U/$10,000 ( Truck), Reckless Driving, Wanton Endangerment 1st – Police Officer, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st (Heroin) Operating on a Suspended Operator License, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st, Operating Under Influence Alcohol/Drugs, Giving Officer False Name and Address.
The passenger was Bradley Hatton, 27. Hatton was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500.00 or more, but U/$10,000, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st (Heroin) and Public Intoxication. Hatton also had several Failure to Appear Warrants.
Both were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
Trafficking in Controlled Substance: On 05/11/2017, Richmond police arrested Elvin Smith, 29 Sizemore Drive. Richmond, Kentucky for Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st ( Methamphetamine) and Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st (Heroin). Smith was arrested at the Hampton Inn and also had around $1,425.00 on him.
Smith was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
Public Intoxication and Possession of Controlled Substance: On 05/10/2017, Richmond police arrested Jim Rhorer, 34 Hawthorne Drive. Richmond, Kentucky at Krogers. Rhorer was charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st (Methamphetamine).
Rhorer was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
Possession of Controlled Substance: On 05/08/2017, Richmond police arrested Tonya Hubbard, 49 Autumn Leaf. Richmond, Kentucky for shoplifting $263.81 in merchandise from Meijer. Hubbard was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st and Prescription Drug not in proper container 1st.
Hubbard was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
Failure to Appear: On 05/09/2017, Richmond police arrested Deborah Thacker, 51 Purcell Drive. Richmond, Kentucky for shoplifting $37.94 worth of merchandise from Save A lot and Failure to Appear.
Thacker was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
Wanted: Richmond police are looking for Janelle Newman, 23 last known address Martin Drive. Richmond, Kentucky.This subject is wanted for Probation Violation on a Felony.

Wanted: Richmond Police are looking for Chris Dewayne Chasteen, 33 for Escape 2nd Degree. Chateen unlawfully escaped from a Detention Facility. On the above said date the defendant, while in the custody of Bluegrass Career Development Center, walked away from the facility after the 4:30pm head count. The defendant was ordered to said facility after being convicted of Burglary in the First Degree.

Wanted: On 05/02/2017, this suspect used a stolen credit card at Richmond Walmart. Suspect is wearing the dark colored long sleeve shirt with a light colored stripe down both sleeves, a dark hat, and what looks like dark rimmed glass (appears to be the same person in another case we are working. Looks like he has a lanyard sticking out of his jeans pocket.
