Berea Police Report May 9, 2017

ARRESTED

Theft of Mail Matter: On 05/03/2017 officers were called to the area of Glades Road, where an off-duty trooper had spotted someone stealing mail. The trooper observed the subject take the mail from an address on Woodford Ave, then open it and throw it in the garbage. The male and a female with him were located at Circle K on Richmond Road. The female was observed throwing a black bag under the counter, which was later found to contain marijuana, Gabapentin tablets, needles, and a glass pipe.

Officers arrested 39 year old Shelley Huber of McKee KY and 37 year old Harold Phillips of McKee KY. Phillips was charged with Theft of Mail Matter. Huber was charged with the following:

-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug
-Drug Paraphernalia Possession

ARRESTED

Alcohol Intoxication: On 05/01/2017 officers were called to BP on Paint Lick Road in reference to an intoxicated person inside of the business. The subject was located inside and showed several signs of intoxication.

Officers arrested 50 year old Kara Brunner of Berea KY and charged her with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.

Burglary: On 05/01/2017 officers were called to the Smokehouse Grill in reference to a theft. The owner of the business reported that someone entered through the ceiling overnight and stole a safe out of the office. Estimated Loss: $1,500.00.

Identity Theft: On 05/02/2017 a resident on Barberry Lane reported that their identity had been used to open a cell phone account in another state.

Theft: On 05/06/2017 employees at Tractor Supply reported that a male and female had just left the store. They observed the female conceal several items before leaving the store without paying. They left in a vehicle before officers arrived.
