BEREA POLICE REPORT MAY 30, 2017

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 05/24/2017 an officer was at a residence on Morning View Drive for a burglary complaint. As he went to the back of the apartment, he observed three subjects, one of which was in possession of Marijuana. The subject also had an active arrest warrant, and was placed under arrest. He was also in possession of half of a Suboxone tablet that was concealed in a cigarette pack.

Officers charged 25 year old Jacob Rust of Berea KY with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree.

ARRESTED

Shoplifting Arrest: On 05/24/2017 employees at Walmart observed a subject conceal items before attempting to leave without paying for them. He was detained by store employees until officers arrived and placed him under arrest.

Officers charged 24 year old Brian Lawson (No Address) with Theft by Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 05/27/2017 officers were called to Dollar General on Richmond Road in reference to a suspicious person attempting to get in a vehicle. The subject was eventually located down the road at Circle K, where he was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine.

Officers arrested 27 year old Douglas Pearson of Berea KY and charged him with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine).

ARRESTED

Drug Arrest: On 05/27/2017 officers were called to a collision on Richmond Road. One of the drivers involved was in possession of a Hydrocodone tablet, and stated that he had taken another before the collision.

Officers arrested 26 year old Joseph Spizzirro of Berea KY and charged him with Possession on Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
