Shoplifting Arrest: On 09/06/2015 Officers were called to the Mini Mall Market on Chestnut Street in reference to a shoplifter. The caller stated that a male subject stolen merchandise then walked over to Circle K. Officers located the subject in the store and located the stolen merchandise, as well as merchandise from Circle K that the subject had just concealed.
Officers arrested 22 year old Zaven Rucker of Berea KY and charged him with two counts of Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.
Concealed Deadly Weapon: On 09/06/2015 in the early morning hours an Officer observed a vehicle stopped in the road on Old US 25. He made contact with the occupants and eventually located a handgun concealed in the vehicle. The driver did not have a concealed carry permit and stated that he hid the gun when he saw the Officer approach.
Officers arrested 18 year old Peter Ramirez of Berea KY and charged him with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
DUI Arrest: On 09/05/2015 Officers were called to Walnut Meadow Road and Mayde Road in reference to a single vehicle collision. Officers located a male subject, covered in grass and walking away from the vehicle. He had the keys to the vehicle in his pocket and a strong odor of alcohol.
Officers arrested 28 year old Dalton Nipper of Berea KY and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
Alcohol/Drug Arrest: On 09/05/2015 an Officer observed a subject walking on Prospect Street in the early morning hours. The subject was very unsteady on her feet and almost fell down as the Officer approached. The subject had a strong odor of alcohol and had trouble keeping her balance. Inside of her pants pocket the Officer located rolling papers and 3 small bags of Marijuana.
Officers arrested 41 year old Melanie Fay of Berea KY and charged her with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Possession of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.
Criminal Mischief: On 09/05/2015 Officers were called to the 100 Block of Sycamore Drive in reference to property damage. The victim reported that the offender walked to her residence and busted out the rear windshield of her vehicle, and kicked a dent in the door.
Officers arrested 25 year old Kayla Dobbs of Berea KY and charged her with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
Disorderly Conduct: On 09/04/2015 Officers were called to the area in front of Wanpen in reference to a panhandler. The subject had previously been asked to leave the area and refused to do so. He was asked again by the Officer to leave and refused to do so.
Officers arrested 54 year old Ricky Hadden of Jamestown KY and charged him with Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing Streets and Sidewalks (City Ordinance).
Trespassing Arrest: On 09/03/2015 Officers were called to the 100 Block of Bowman Road in reference to property damage. Two subjects were located arguing at the residence as well as a vehicle with three flat tires. Officers were advised that the same subject who flattened the tires had been previously banned from the property.
Officers arrested 37 year old Raymond Harris of Richmond KY and charged him with Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree.
Shoplifting Arrest: On 09/02/2015 Officers were called to Walmart for a shoplifter that was detained by store employees. The subject attempted to leave the store with merchandise totaling $65.38.
Officers arrested 52 year old Lisa Bryant of Berea KY and charged her with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree.
Theft: On 09/03/2015 Officers were called to Berea College Public Safety in reference to thefts. They advised that five different vehicles had items stolen from inside while they were parked on Prospect Street.
Theft: On 09/04/2015 Officers were called to St. Joseph Berea in reference to a theft. The victim reported that items were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot. Estimated Loss: $150.00.
Criminal Mischief: On 09/02/2015 Officers were called to Brown Court in reference to property damage. The victim reported that several juveniles threw rocks at his vehicle as he was driving down the street.
Theft: On 09/01/2015 Officers were called to Mini Mall Drive in reference to a theft. The victim reported that the license plate was stolen from their vehicle.
