Berea Police Report Sept. 22, 2015

Drug Arrest: On 09/20/2015 Officers were called to the Berea skate park in reference to a disturbance. While talking to the parties involved, they received information that one of the subjects was in possession of drugs. They eventually located a small amount of synthetic marijuana and a pipe inside of a purse that belonged to one of the subjects involved in the dispute.

Officers arrested 37 year old Delores Crawford of Berea KY and charged her with Possession of Synthetic Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.

Receiving Stolen Property: On 09/19/2015 an Officer was flagged down on Jefferson Street in reference to a male subject selling items on Mill Street. The female reported that the subject was selling a GPS unit and she believed that it was the same unit that had been stolen from her. Officers then spoke to the male subject and eventually the victim was able to positively identify the stolen property.

Officers arrested 53 year old James Hatcher and charged him with Receiving Stolen Property.

Stalking Arrest: On 09/17/2015 Officers arrested 44 year old Ricky Saylor after he was located on Elm Street. The victim reported several times that Saylor had called her and made threats against her. Saylor also came to the victim’s home several times. Saylor was located in the area of the victim’s home and later admitted that he made threats.

Officers charged Saylor with Stalking 1st Degree and Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process.

Shoplifting Arrest: On 09/17/2015 Officers were called to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Store employees observed a female conceal items in her purse before attempting to leave the store.

Officers arrested 47 year old Melissa Richardson of Richmond KY and charged her with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting. The merchandise was valued at $31.69.

Theft: On 09/21/2015 a resident in the 80 Block of Baldwin Street reported that items were stolen from a parked vehicle. Estimated Loss: $89.00.

Theft: On 09/20/2015 a resident in the 200 Block of Marcellus Drive reported that items were stolen from a parked vehicle overnight. Estimated Loss: $580.00.

Theft: On 09/20/2015 two residents in the 400 Block of Jackson Street reported that items were stolen from their parked vehicles. Estimated Loss: $215.00.

Theft: On 09/16/2015 a resident in the 90 Block of Lorraine Court reported that two bicycles were stolen from the front yard of the residence. Estimated Loss: $139.97.
