Shoplifting Arrests: On 09/08/2015 Walmart store employees observed two male subjects place several items in a shopping cart before pushing it out of the store. The subjects did not make any attempts to pay for the merchandise which was valued at $329.63.
Officers arrested 46 year old Mark Jackson of Berea KY and 31 year old Ronald Webb of Berea KY.
They were both charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting and the merchandise was returned to the store.
Theft: On 09/11/2015 a Berea College employee reported that her purse was stolen from the Alumni Building.

DUI Arrest: On 09/12/2015 Officers were called to Sonic in reference to a minor collision in the drive thru. One of the drivers had a strong odor of alcohol, slurred speech, and staggered when he exited his vehicle.
Officers arrested 38 year old Isreal Swarey of Berea KY and charged him with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
Criminal Mischief: On 09/12/2015 Officers were called to Walmart in reference to a male subject who was removing items from the packaging and placing them in his pockets. The subject used a pocket knife to cut the packages causing $603.96 in damages.
Officers arrested 33 year old Terry Harrison of McKee KY and charged him with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree.
Criminal Mischief: On 09/10/2015 Officers met with a complainant at the Berea Police Department who stated that a family member was intoxicated and destroying property. They then responded to the 100 Block of Leslie Drive and located a male subject in the home.
Officers arrested 29 year old Jarrad Burdette of Berea KY after observing $1,100.00 in damages to the home. Burdette was charged with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
Theft: On 09/07/2015 a resident in the 100 Block of Bowman Road reported that a lawnmower was stolen from the front yard of the residence. Estimated Loss: $1,800.00.
Theft: On 09/07/2015 a resident in the 600 Block of Bratcher Lane reported that a utility trailer was stolen from the driveway of his residence. Estimated Loss: $2,600.00.
Theft: On 09/07/2015 a resident in the 100 Block of Bowman Road reported that an ATV was stolen from the residence. Estimated Loss: $2,500.00.
