Drug Charges: On 08/09/2015, police charged Heather N. King, age 30, Calumet Drive, and Billy C. Goode, age 32, Adams Hill Drive, for drug offenses following a shoplifting incident.
At approximately 8:15 P.M., officers were dispatched to Walmart in response to a shoplifting incident. Upon arrival, officers learned that King had utilized cheaper and incorrect price tags on clothing to pay less than what the items were priced at. Goode reportedly situated himself in a way to conceal King’s activities. Both were detained by store employees and police summoned.
During the course of the contacts, officers searched King’s purse and recovered eight syringes, two cut straws, a spoon with suspected drug residue, a Xanax pill, a pack of Suboxone strips and a plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine. A search of Goode also produced a small baggie of suspected methamphetamine.
Both were taken into custody and lodged in the MCDC.
Goode was charged for Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree.
King was charged for the following offenses:
– Theft by Unlawful Taking Under $500
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
In addition, officers found that there existed seven warrants for the arrest of King. One was from the Jefferson District Court charging King for Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 in connection with the possession of property stolen in a burglary. A second was from the Franklin District Court charging King for Receiving Stolen Property Under $500 in connection with property in her possession that had been stolen from Madison County.
The remaining five warrants were for Failure to Appear in various district courts, to include Madison County, Estill County (2), Jefferson County, and Rockcastle County. All warrants were served on King.
